NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting was founded by Dr. Meredith Gapsis, a neurodiverse educator with over 20 years of experience in special education. Driven by a passion for equity and understanding, Dr. Gapsis established NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting to help families, educators, and organizations create environments where neurodivergent individuals can truly thrive.

Throughout her career, she has worked as a teacher, administrator, and advocate, supporting students with a wide range of learning profiles and helping schools implement inclusive, evidence-based practices. Her work bridges research and real-world application—translating neuroscience and educational theory into practical strategies that honor each individual’s strengths.

Dr. Gapsis holds advanced degrees in education and leadership, along with specialized training in neurodiversity, behavioral supports, and inclusive program design. Today, she partners with parents, schools, and community organizations to provide advocacy services, professional development, and consultation centered on NeuroInclusion.

At NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting, every service is guided by one core belief: inclusion is not an accommodation—it’s a commitment to seeing, valuing, and supporting every kind of mind.

What We Do

At NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting, every offering is grounded in the belief that inclusion begins with understanding and grows through meaningful action. Drawing on over two decades of experience in education, advocacy, and leadership, Dr. Meredith Gapsis provides services that bridge the gap between awareness and implementation—helping families, schools, workplaces, and communities create environments where neurodivergent individuals can thrive.

From personalized advocacy and coaching to professional development, organizational consultation, and public speaking, each service is designed to meet people where they are and move them toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection. Whether you’re a parent navigating supports, an educator expanding inclusive practice, or a leader building a more neuroaffirming organization, NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting offers the partnership, insight, and tools to help you make inclusion a lived reality.

Advocacy Services

Navigating educational and workplace systems can be complex, whether you’re supporting a K–12 student, a college learner, or an employee seeking accommodations. NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting provides personalized advocacy and consultation services designed to clarify rights, strengthen communication, and ensure that neurodivergent individuals receive the support they need to succeed.

Each engagement begins with an initial consultation to review goals, current supports, and documentation. From there, Dr. Gapsis will provide comprehensive document review—including IEPs, 504 Plans, evaluation reports, and accommodation requests—to identify needs and opportunities for improvement. You’ll receive targeted recommendations and practical guidance to help build effective, inclusive plans. When appropriate, she can also attend meetings or collaborate directly with schools, colleges, or employers to promote solutions that balance individual strengths with systemic understanding.

Dr. Gapsis grounds her work in empathy, expertise, and experience—helping families, educators, and organizations move from awareness to action in creating environments where all minds can thrive.

Family Coaching and Employer Support

True inclusion begins with understanding—and the confidence to act on it. NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting offers family coaching and organizational support to help parents, caregivers, and employers develop practical strategies for supporting neurodiverse individuals with empathy and effectiveness.

For families, Dr. Gapsis provides personalized coaching to deepen understanding of neurodivergent strengths, communication styles, and daily challenges. Together, you'll identify actionable ways to build routines, self-advocacy skills, and collaborative relationships with schools or workplaces.

For employers and organizations, Dr. Gapsis offers consultation and training on inclusive practices that foster belonging, productivity, and well-being. From reviewing policies and accommodations to facilitating professional development sessions, she helps teams move beyond compliance toward cultures that value neurodiversity as a strength.

Every partnership is rooted in the belief that meaningful inclusion isn’t a checklist—it’s a mindset that transforms how we see and support one another.

Training and Professional Development

Building inclusive communities begins with informed, empowered professionals. NeuroAdvocacy & Consulting provides customized professional development and training designed to help educators, administrators, and organizational leaders integrate NeuroInclusive practices into their daily work.

Workshops and training sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each audience—ranging from schools and universities to nonprofits and workplaces—and blend research-based insights with real-world application. Participants gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity, learn effective communication and support strategies, and leave with actionable tools to create environments where all individuals can thrive.

Offerings include in-person or virtual presentations, workshops, and ongoing consultation, each developed collaboratively to align with your team’s goals and capacity. Whether you’re introducing NeuroInclusion for the first time or seeking to deepen existing initiatives, these sessions provide the knowledge and confidence to turn inclusive intent into sustainable practice.
